Digital Visitor Pass

A time-bound web page or wallet item issued to a guest, authenticating their scheduled appointment.

A digital visitor pass is a credential delivered to a guest over email, SMS, or a link — usually renderable in a browser and often installable to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Unlike a printed badge, a digital pass can evolve over time: it can show only the invitation details until the day of the visit, then surface parking and directions, then a QR code for building access.

Digital passes reduce the need for reception staff, printed badges, and in-person check-in — which is why they're the default for solo-practitioner VMS tools.
