Common Questions
Is Visitor.Place really free?
Yes. Visitor.Place is free for independent professionals. No credit card, no trial period, no per-visitor fees. We built this for freelancers and consultants who just need their guests to arrive without confusion.
How does the three-stage guest pass work?
When you invite a guest, they get a single link. Initially it shows the invitation with confirm/decline buttons. 24 hours before the visit, it automatically adds parking, entrance, and room directions. 2 hours before, it becomes an access pass with a scannable QR code for building entry.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. The guest pass is a web page — it works in any browser. Guests can optionally add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for quick access, but it's not required.
What if I meet clients at different locations?
Visitor.Place supports multiple locations. Set up each one with its own address, parking instructions, entrance details, and room directions. When you create a visit, just pick the location.
How is Visitor.Place different from Envoy or SwipedOn?
Those tools are built for corporate lobbies with front desks and badge printers. Visitor.Place is built for one person — a freelancer, consultant, or coach — who meets clients at a co-working space, home studio, or coffee shop. No hardware, no IT department required.
